| | 3 | This page aims to start a collaborative effort on writing good quality release notes for HelenOS. The release notes document should list important new features with short descriptions, important bug fixes and it should warn about known regressions and bugs. It should also give other release-specific information/notes, if any. |

| | 5 | As such the document is considerably more extensive than the usual front-site summary. On the other hand it is not meant to be exhaustive (i.e. list all the changes), rather just focusing on the changes and issues visible and important to users. |

| | 7 | Ideally the release notes for each new release will be simply copied at the time of the release from ReleaseNotes/Trunk which will grow gradually and list the changes between the current trunk and the last official release. |
